Evans Family Newsy Update

Wow, it has been a super busy last month or so. After getting the kids done with softball and school for the year, our house in North Salt Lake sold! We had 3 weeks to get everything moved out. With the help of Grandma, who came out a couple of times and boxed up our stuff, and some of the men in the ward last Saturday morning, we got everything packed up and in our POD or in the Simmon's garage until we can move into our new house in Murray. Thanks so much to everyone, we couldn't have done it without you!
For the time being we have invaded Vicki's condo in West Jordan. Zhi Wei is calling it "The Thurman Hotel" and asking for room service just like at the Tipton (on the Suite Life of Zach and Cody). No such luck! The Thurman Hotel is small, but clean. It has a pool and wireless internet but the biggest draw is that it's very cheap! For the next three weeks we'll be staying there while waiting to close on our new house.
The kids were sad to leave the North Salt Lake house. They had lots of friends and good memories there. Luckily, they can stay in touch with everyone with their cell phone or email.
Katie just finished up her 2nd golf camp of the summer this past week. She spent a week with Grandma the first of June and went to the BYU Golf Camp, and then did the Central Valley Girls golf with a couple of her Chinese girlfriends, Cory and Ivy. She just got a new set of golf clubs that will hopefully elevate her game to the next level.
Zhi Wei has just spent two wonderful weeks at the Hale Center Theater camp where he learned about acting and stage production. He LOVED it!
The rest of the summer is going to be spent at Vicki's pool, a week at Grandma's in Orem, moving into the new house and getting it set up the way we want it to be.
We're hoping for life to slow down (yeah, right) and to be able to spend time together as a family at our new home.
